Little John Press

I am so lucky to have this press as the centrepiece to my studio. I really couldn’t be without it.

Although it is an etching press, many printmakers use them for relief printing such as linocut.

It came to me in the late 1990’s from an artist in Whitby who had passed away. His wife was reluctant to let it go but also wanted it to be loved and used again.

I can hand on my heart say I love this press and it is the best piece of kit in my studio, closely followed by my tools.
